JBA was appointed to the London Crematorium Company to design a masterplan in conjunction with Hugh Thomas (architect) for a newcrematorium.

The scheme included the crematorium, access drive and parking areas, memorial gardens, a lake and native structural planting including woodland, scrub, glades and wildflower meadows to create an informal and reflective setting and provide a transition to the surrounding rural landscape.

The planting was implemented in three phases, with the final phase comprising planting surrounding the crematorium building and the formal garden areas. JBA contract administrated the planting works on behalf ofthe client.

The Garden of England Crematorium was completed in 2005.
